If you need to suspend automatic emails for a time, you can do so with the following steps: 

1. Open VSP and go to the Web Terminal pane.
2. At the top of the Home tab, click the "Web Terminal settings..." button.
3. In the new dialog, click on the "Auto Reminders" section from the left menu.
4. Check the box at the top of this window that says "Send automatic email reminders to volunteers before each of their scheduled dates." You can also disable text message reminders with the box that reads "Send automatic text message reminders [x] hours before volunteers' scheduled times."
   Note: You may also want to click on the "Available Positions" tab on the left to turn off those emails, as well. 
5. Click OK
6. Click Commit Changes

Please note that if you turn email and text message reminders back on, it needs to be done the day before you want them to start sending again, as they are queued to send night before they are sent.
