Send an email just to volunteers who haven't signed up for shifts

Help motivate your less active volunteers by sending targeted emails. Using VSP's filter tools, you can send emails just to volunteers who haven't signed up for shifts on the current schedule, which will enable you to deliver a personalized message and be more effective in filling your remaining shifts.

  1. Open your current live schedule.
  2. Type your email out in VSP's Announcements pane. You may want to use the {{AllAvailablePositions}} token to list the spots still open for signing up.
  3. Make sure that the "To" portion of the Announcements pane is set to "All volunteers".
  4. Check the box "But only volunteers who pass | this filter...", then click on the "Assignments" filter in the Edit Filter pop-up window.
  5. Choose "Are scheduled more than 1 total hours," and change "more than" to "less than" using the drop down menu.
  6. Choose "Between the dates of" and select the date range of the current schedule.
  7. Click "OK" to put the filter into place, preview your email to confirm the recipients, and click send.
