Add a resource to the shift view

The VSP administrator at your organization manages the access you need to accomplish the tasks in the article below. If you cannot access a feature or are having trouble, please contact your VSP administrator for further assistance.

1. Sign in to your account on your organization’s Web Terminal

2. Click on your name in the upper right corner of the Web Terminal and select "Switch to Admin View", then click on the Schedules pane.

3. Click on the day and shift where you want to add a resource.

For Resources

1. Expand the Resources section and click “Add another resource” where you can choose between adding a file or adding a link.

2. Next, name your resource and add the link or file. Choose at which shifts you want the resource to be shown, and optionally apply a filter only to show the resource to particular volunteers.

3. Click "Save" to save the new resource.

Once you have added your resources, you can re-order the list of resources by dragging and dropping.

Note: for resources that appear at more than one shift, the ordering of resources will be the same everywhere -- meaning that re-ordering the resources at one shift will re-order them for all shifts.

For Notes

Notes are one-way communication from you to your volunteers. Notes can be just text or can include a hyperlink to take your volunteers to another web page.

To create a note:

1. Expand the Notes section and click “Add another note…”

2. Type your note to volunteers in the space provided. Text editing tools appear above the box that can be used to further customize your text, including the ability to add a hyperlink.

3. Choose if you want to this note displayed to:

  • this shift only

  • this shift as well as all its related shifts this week

  • Note: Related shifts are ones that have the same name. This also applies to shifts that are not named.

  • this shift and all other shifts with [Recurring Shift pane settings] shifts

  • every single shift

4. Choose if you want to also limit to “Only show this note to [job]”

5. Click "OK"
