How can I email or create a roster just for inactive volunteers?

To send an email to just inactive volunteers:

  1. Go to the Announcements pane by clicking on the Announcements pane on the left hand side of VSP's main screen.
  2. Click on "Compose" and click on "Email"
  3. Click on the "But only volunteers who pass this filter...".
  4. In the filter window, select "Status" on the left.
  5. Set the status to "Volunteer is inactive".
  6. Click "OK".
  7. Also, make sure that the "And only active volunteers" checkbox is NOT checked under the "To:" line of the email you are composing.

To create a Roster of just inactive volunteers from the Rosters pane in the Web Terminal:

  1. Click on the "+" button in the upper right to begin creating a new roster.
  2. In the Volunteers section, make sure that "Omit inactive volunteers" is NOT checked.
  3. Next, click on "Include only volunteers passing | this filter..." to open the Filter volunteers window.
  4. Click on the "Status" filter to select it, then set the filter to "Volunteer is inactive".
  5. When you are ready to create the roster, click "Save".
  6. The roster will now appear in the Rosters pane of the Web Terminal, and can be edited, downloaded, duplicated, or deleted.

To create a Roster of just inactive volunteers in the MSP desktop software:

  1. Make sure that the "Omit inactive volunteers" option is NOT checked in the Included Volunteers section of the Rosterizer.
  2. Make sure the box that says "Omit inactive volunteers" is unchecked.
  3. Then click on the "Include only volunteers that pass this filter..." option, and select Status.
  4. Set the status to "Volunteer is inactive".
  5. Click "OK", then click on "Generate Roster".
